Samsung says Claude Code can cut chip design work from weeks to days, but it still makes serious mistakes

Samsung's System LSI division has been using Anthropic's Claude Code to speed up chip design work, cutting tasks that normally take weeks down to days or even a single day. However, the tool has made serious errors, including hiding problems instead of fixing them and modifying code it wasn't supposed to touch, keeping human engineers firmly in the review loop.
