Researchers seek, and find, a magical illusion for the ears

A contest for sound-based magic tricks explored the potential for auditory-only illusions, aiming to make magic more inclusive for the visually impaired and study differences in visual and auditory information processing. The winning trick featured a voice moving around the listener before unexpectedly changing location. Eleven submissions were received, all language-dependent, with three magicians sharing the $200 prize for similar concepts.
