Neuralink Threads Its Way Straight Through the Brain’s Armor

Neuralink successfully performed its first brain implant surgery that leaves the protective brain membrane, called the dura, completely intact. Instead of cutting it back as before, a surgical robot pushed hair-thin threads directly through it using advanced imaging tools that map blood vessels and brain movement in real time. A paralyzed trial participant was moving a computer cursor with their thoughts within an hour, with no complications.
