NASA selects four new Moon missions to build a permanent lunar base

NASA awarded nearly $600 million to Astrobotic, Firefly Aerospace, and Intuitive Machines to carry out four Moon missions in late 2028, all aimed at building a permanent lunar base. Each mission will carry the same three science instruments to study lunar dust, improve navigation, and measure radiation, helping protect future astronauts and prepare for crewed Mars missions.
