China claims to activate 1,000-qubit quantum system in direct competition with IBM

China's QuantumCTek Co has developed a quantum control system, ez-Q Engine 2.0, supporting over 1,000 qubits and capable of providing over 5,000 qubits of control services. This advancement brings China closer to challenging US quantum leadership, currently led by IBM and Atom Computing.
