A classified network of SpaceX satellites is emitting a mysterious signal

SpaceX's classified Starshield defense satellite network is transmitting mysterious signals on radio frequencies typically reserved for sending commands from Earth to satellites, potentially violating international telecommunications standards. Amateur satellite tracker Scott Tilley accidentally discovered the unusual transmissions from 170 satellites operating in the 2025-2110 MHz band, which should normally be quiet for incoming signals. The signals could interfere with other satellites' ability to receive commands from Earth, though experts say no major disruptions have been reported yet.
