A climate-action startup founder recruited an energetic but inexperienced consultant from Deloitte to single-handedly build their mobile app and backend systems from scratch. Despite having minimal technical experience, the consultant spent two years developing the entire technical infrastructure for the small company, learning through trial and error while creating what would become foundational career experience.
