Open-Source llama.cpp Finds Long-Term Home at Hugging Face

Georgi Gerganov's ggml.ai team, creators of the widely-used llama.cpp inference library, is joining Hugging Face to secure long-term institutional backing for open-source local AI infrastructure. The projects will remain fully open-source and community-driven, with faster quantized model support and single-click integration with Hugging Face's million-model hub planned.
