I've Soured on Open Source

Open Source software development is facing challenges despite its noble intentions. While some developers' work goes unused, others find their popular projects becoming overwhelming responsibilities without compensation. Options like donations, sponsorships, and open core models have limitations. The current system often benefits profitable corporations at the expense of individual developers' time and energy. This situation raises concerns about the sustainability and fairness of the Open Source model in today's capitalist environment.
