Introducing Veo 3.1 and new creative capabilities in the Gemini API

Google released Veo 3.1, an improved AI video generation model now available through the Gemini API in paid preview. The updated model generates richer native audio with synchronized sound effects and offers enhanced image-to-video capabilities with better character consistency across scenes. New features include using reference images to guide video creation, extending existing videos to create longer content, and generating smooth transitions between two different images.
