Building a vintage recipe rolodex with Python, Pelican, and Markdown

A developer built a custom Pelican plugin to manage personal recipes as Markdown files, solving the limitations of PDFs and cloud apps. The plugin supports cross-referenced sub-recipes, dynamic cooking timelines, ingredient search, and blueprint-style flavor variations — all from plain text files. The project is also a personal mission to preserve rare Singaporean-Iraqi Jewish family recipes that exist nowhere online.
