Two-thirds of workers are so fed up with ‘AI slop’ that they ‘feel nostalgic for pre-AI work’

A growing number of workers are feeling burned out by AI rather than helped by it. A survey by Adaptavist found 65% of office workers preferred the pre-AI era, with nearly half saying low-quality "AI slop" makes their jobs feel less meaningful. Workers now spend more time fact-checking AI output than they save using it, while half feel their performance is being unfairly compared to AI-generated work.
