Google's Gemini 3 Flash model outperforms GPT-5.2 in some benchmarks

Google launched Gemini 3 Flash, a more cost-effective version of its flagship AI model that delivers similar performance at a fraction of the price. The new system outperformed previous Google models and matched or exceeded OpenAI's GPT-5.2 in several benchmarks, including scoring 81.2% versus 79.5% in multimodal reasoning tests. Google is rolling out Gemini 3 Flash as the default model for its Gemini App and AI Search globally at no cost to users.
