Ex-Meta scientists want to bring visual AI to the factory floor

Perceptron, founded by two former Meta AI researchers, has launched Isaac 0.5, a vision AI model built to help robots navigate complex real-world settings like warehouses and factory floors. Unlike existing tools built for single tasks, Isaac 0.5 is flexible and general-purpose, guiding robots through multi-step processes like sorting packages. The open-weight model was trained on a million hours of video data, and the startup has raised $16 million so far.
