Dataroom – A self-hosted research harness on low-budget GPU

Dataroom is a self-hosted research tool that runs on a local GPU, automating the gathering, organizing, and citing of information before handing it off to a more powerful AI model. Instead of paying expensive API costs for frontier models to do basic research, a smaller local model loops through searching, reading, and writing until it builds a structured, fully-cited knowledge package—delivered as a .zip file ready to feed into a larger AI for complex follow-up tasks like coding or analysis.
