Amazon previews 3 AI agents, including ‘Kiro’ that can code on its own for days

Amazon Web Services unveiled three new AI agents designed to automate software development tasks, with the standout being "Kiro autonomous agent" that can independently code for days without human intervention. Kiro learns team workflows and coding standards through spec-driven development, maintaining persistent memory across sessions to handle complex, multi-part coding assignments. Two additional agents handle security reviews and DevOps testing, creating an automated development pipeline that could significantly reduce developer workload and supervision requirements.
