Albania Appoints an AI as Government Official

Albania has introduced "Diella," the world's first AI government official, to manage public procurement and combat corruption. Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that Diella will oversee a "100 percent incorruptible" process for government spending and assist in hiring global talent. While the initiative aims to prevent exploitation by criminal groups, concerns exist about potential AI manipulation or poor decision-making without proper oversight.
